Lori is a native of Virginia and excited to be back, living in Arlington. Lori graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Child Development and Human Ecology from the University of Tennessee. Upon graduating from college she worked as a community mental health advocate before making a career change where she gained management, marketing, training and leadership skills working in the financial services industry.
Lori spent many years supporting schools that her children attended in a volunteer capacity. The pull towards education became strong and she was given an opportunity to turn in her volunteer hat for a position supporting a non-profit private school as the Development/Admissions/Operations Director. She was surrounded by amazing educators and educational leaders and began to take on more roles at the school utilizing her financial, systems organization and leadership skills. At this school, she implemented new programs to support social and emotional well being, the arts, and academic success. Developing, implementing, and supporting programs that provide exceptional academics and a well-rounded educational experience have become Lori’s passion.
Lori found Fusion while living in Austin Texas. Her daughter, Grace was looking for math support and Fusion’s one to one instruction was a perfect fit. During the time Grace was at Fusion Lori discovered the profound impact that the setting had on it’s students. She opened the Alexandria campus in September of 2016.
In her free time, she enjoys landscape photography, traveling, and exploring the outdoors with her husband, Todd, and her two labradoodles, Charlie and Wilson.
